Amex Offers at Dell

We have seen a variety of these Amex offers in the past targeting Dell.com, and now we have a refershed Dell Amex Offer that runs into April.

  • Spend $200 get $40 statement credit.
  • 10% back up to $1000

If your Amex Business Platinum gets targeted, it provides a great opportunity to really stretch the $400 annual Dell credit that comes as a benefit by stacking these Amex Offers with the statement credit.

Personally, I have 3 Amex Business Platinums which, in total, give me $1200 of statement credit for the whole year ( remember the credits are split into $200 semi annual credits which refresh in July and January ). Unfortunately, each card can’t take advantage of this credit and can only be used once per account.

You may be in the camp that thinks you don’t have much use for Dell credits, and you should really reconsider that position. Dell has a lot of products that are outside of Dell branded products like portable chargers, projectors, printers, headphones, microphones, cables, memory cards, etc. Let’s take a look at the current offers that are circulating. You can read about how I use my Amex Business Platinum Dell Credit here

Amex Offers: Spend $200 get $40 back

This offer goes until 4/25/24 so if you don’t have reason to use it now, you could still stack it with your Business Platinum credit in the first half of next year.

  • Spend $200 get $40 back
  • Must be at Dell.com
  • Expires 4/25/24
  • One or more purchases

Stack with Dell $400 Amex Business Platinum credit

That’s right folks, as I mentioned before, if you’re an American Express Business Platinum credit cardholder you’ll receive a $200 statement credit split into 2, $200 credits, each 6 months of the year.

Quick hint: Using multiple cards to maximize your offers via Split Payment

Amex Offers can be targeted to various cards, so if the Amex Offer is targeted to a card aside from your Amex Business Platinum you could add it and split payments. Additionally, if you carry more than one Amex Business Platinum you can make use of both Dell credits on a single purchase by splitting as well.

For instance, I split payments between Amex Business Platinums to trigger each of their $200 statement credits for the last half of 2022 .

Add in Rakuten to earn even more Membership Rewards – keep an eye on this – it has been as high as 15x.

Rakuten partnered with American Express to allow users the ability to earn Membership Rewards instead of cashback. That’s what I do, and how I’ve earned over 100k points this year off referrals and bonus points. You’ll notice that since Amex Offers are triggered on the backend of a purchase, you earn the Rakuten multiple on the full purchase price.

If you don’t have Rakuten, you can use our Referral

Overall

Getting even more money off at Dell with this current Amex Offer is fantastic, but stacking it with Amex Business Platinum Dell credits and Rakuten bonuses is even better. See you on TikTok!

We keep an up to date spreadsheet that lists the best ever offers: You can find that spreadsheet here.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

If you carry this card alongside Chase’s cashback cards like the Chase Freedom Flex®  and Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the business versions: Ink Business Cash® , Ink Business Unlimited® you can combine the points into Preferred account and transfer into hotel and airline partners

Annual fee is quite low at $95 a year + you get a 10% anniversary bonus on points + $50 hotel credit in Chase travel.

  • John February 2, 2022

GRRR! I just purchased a monitor from Dell yesterday. Now I see the 10% off offer in my AMEX Business platinum account. ugh!

    • Rae February 2, 2022

Cancel the order and re-purchase today. I do this stuff all the time. Or I purchase again and return the non-discounted one NIB if the amount is good enough.

If I miss a sale I’ll rebuy and item and return the rebuy with the opened one’s receipt just to get the deal for places that don’t price match

  • Jack December 20, 2020

Amex Platinum $100 credit must have been targeted too since I had all the other offers but not this

  • Hombre November 17, 2020

I jsut got AMEX Platinum. However, I am not targeted for offer yet. What do I need to do to get offer?

  • Marc Samson June 9, 2020

Is the 12000 points for $599 purchases targeted? I dont see it on my bus plat offer list, the others are there

    • Miles June 9, 2020

Hmmmmm it may be, I figured it was broader since other outlets have posted about it too.

  • Simon June 9, 2020

The LG B9 55′ deal they have at the moment may be better bang for the buck.

  • Eric June 9, 2020

This must be targeted as I cannot see this offer.

  • Mark June 8, 2020

What’s the price for that TV at a different store? (Not Dell)

  • Sajer Guy June 8, 2020

So how do you split and still go thru Rakuten or another portal…by buying Dell gift cards first? If so, do you think any of the offers won’t pay out?

    • Miles June 8, 2020

Why wouldn’t you be able split via Rakuten – it should just populate the website and code it, it shouldn’t negate the payment split screen, right? Don’t think this should create any issues since it’s all statement credit and on amex’s backend not because it is populated from an amex link. I’ll play around with it since I haven’t completed the transaction this way, but I’m not sure why it would affect it. That being said, only the person whose rakuten account is linked would get the spend bonus
