I think this information will be very useful if you have recently acquired a World of Hyatt credit card from Chase. I picked one up earlier in the month, but only received 5 Elite nights in my account after I was approved ( they populated within 3 days, and a full week prior to receiving the card in the mail).  I didn’t think much of it and waited to receive the physical card which would have the offer information as well. That offer information didn’t include 10 nights…so I was not a happy camper, and concerned that something hadn’t coded correctly.  The 10 elite nights were one of the main, if not the main, reason I acquired the card – I’m going to globalist status so those are quite valuable to me.

I inquired with Hyatt via phone as to the discrepancy between the elite nights.  The phone rep didn’t really know what had happened and couldn’t access my application but could see the 10 elite night offer. She didn’t seem too concerned, and after not hearing anything for a week, I touched base again via secure chat.

This was the response I received which was not only prompt, but clarified how it appears Hyatt is processing these Elite nights. In short…I will get 10 elite nights this year and 10 again next year just like the offer promoted. I would keep an eye on this if you’ve run into a similar situation.

I recently acquired the World of Hyatt credit card that is still offering 10 elite nights this year and next. It will help push me over the top for Globalist status this year, and hopefully next. I’ve been tracking my Hyatt account to see how quickly they would credit, and was surprised for a couple of reasons.

Fortunately they populated my account within a week of card approval – I thought it may take longer. Unfortunately, the amount of elite nights credited to my account was for the old offer of 5 elite nights not the current offer of 10 elite nights. I’m contesting this, but keep an eye on those nights, and I will let you know how I get this resolved ( I haven’t even received my card yet ). I don’t have any doubt it will get resolved, but it means I’ll have to closely monitor how next year’s nights credit as well.

This should show 10 nights.

I was just reading “Travelling For Miles” and they said (in a roundabout, confusing way) that Hyatt posted there bonus nights in (2) 5 night increments.

Sounds like this is happing to you to.

Any explanation why you only got 5 nights instead of 10? Did you reach out to Chase or to Hyatt to try to resolve?
