A friendly reminder that you can earn an extra 5%, or 5x points, on purchases at WalMart through December 14th. The bonus points apply to the first $325 that you spend, and assuming you max out the 5x bonus category, you’d ultimately net 18,250 points for the quarter. Solid haul. Don’t forget that Chase is also offering 10x points on purchases at Best Buy, up to $400. Remember, that Freedom is a cash back card, but when teamed with a premium Ultimate Rewards earning card you can combine those points and transfer to partners for lucrative redemptions.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
