All AutoCamp properties are bookable now
Hilton just announced that they’re partnering with AutoCamp ( ummmm who? ) with the ability to earn and burn points at AutoCamp sites starting with their property in Cape Cod. Not only have I never stayed at a camp site, I had no idea what AutoCamp was before this partnership… so in a way, the marketing partnership is already working on me because these they look pretty cool.
Will I ever use this partnership? I’m not a huge camping guy ( obviously since I’ve never camped ) so I’m not sure, but I’ve always had a weird romanticized idea that I’d want to roadtrip in an AirStream. Now that I could use points to go stay in a glampsite featuring Airstreams, I’m intrigued to say the least. Regardless of whether I pullt the trigger, the more ways to use points is always a good thing. Let’s take a look at the partnership which is live and bookable on Hilton channels
What is AutoCamp
It looks like, from what I can ascertain, is it focuses on the segment of traveler that love the outdoors, but don’t necessarily want to completely rough it, so they provide campsites with a large, communal clubhouses, where you can individually rent out cabins, tents, and luxury AirStreams that surround it.
This is a screenshot of the spot in Zion – clearly it looks as though it’s an an incredible location.

Cape Cod is bookable
Currently, at least with this first property, AutoCamp is a pretty decent use of Hilton Honors. These are dates in Mid June, and with taxes, even the cheapest is over $400 or 70k Hilton Honors. Since I value Hilton Honors at 1/2 a penny a point, this exceeds that valuation. You also
Here’s a little description from Hilton/AutoCamp
“AutoCamp Cape Cod sits on 14 expansive acres along the Shining Sea Bikeway, near the area’s acclaimed beaches and incredible natural beauty. As the brand’s first location on the East Coast, AutoCamp Cape Cod offers guests a selection of 108 suites, including AutoCamp’s iconic custom-designed Airstreams, Luxury Tents and cabins. Standing at the epicenter of the property is a two-story 8,100 square foot Clubhouse, serving as a community focal point, which includes AutoCamp’s signature indoor and outdoor communal fire pits”
Overall
I like this alternative angle for Hilton redemptions. While I’m not sure I will make use of this, I know several people that absolutely love to camp, some to glamp, and this would shoehorn well into their style of travel. The 5th night free is a big deal too for places like this that I think lend themselves to long hiking trips, or week long camping trips. We need a bit more information, but the initial value presented is good on the few dates I looked ( much better than the Mr and Mrs Smith debacle Hyatt released ), and I’d say this presents an optimistic case of how Small Luxury Hotels could be folded into the brand.
