Europe is chock full of majestic, grande dame, step back into a bigone era style of hotel. These are the icons of the city from my perspective, offering rich histories, incredible interior and exteriors, and the Hotel Bristol Warsaw is a wonderful example. It’s supremely located in the old town area of the city, walking distance to many sights, churches, and cafes. The Raffles Europejski is right across the street, and crazily costs more than double the price, so if you’re considering the two, the location is identical. My buddy Dave and I enjoyed the bars in both hotels, and while the Raffles seems like fancier, I preferred the vibes of our hotel.  The hotel seems large from the outside but offers only 165 rooms and 41 suites.

From Wiki:

Hotel Bristol, Warsaw is a historic five-star luxury hotel built in the Neo-Renaissance style and opened in 1901 in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the city centre on Krakowskie Przedmieście next to the Presidential Palace.

The hotel is one of the most notable historic monuments of the Royal Route (Polish: Trakt Królewski) and remains among the few landmarks of Warsaw which emerged relatively unscathed from the city’s near total destruction during World War II. It is considered as one of Warsaw’s oldest and one of the country’s most luxurious hotels.

Hotel Location

The hotel is roughly a 20-30 minute ride to the airport and I believe we paid something like $20 in an uber.

Check-In

A small intimate check in area is immediately to your left and behind that art piece is an ATM should you need any local currency. At check in we inquired about paid upgrades, and we were shown several different options. We ultimately chose the Luxury Suite for an additional $150 a night.

The Lobby

From the outside the hotel seems absolutely massive, but on the inside, it feels much more like a boutique hotel.

We didn’t eat here actually

The Bar

A beautiful and intimate bar just off the main entrance to the right. The bartender was a true mixologist preparing several different options for us that were delicious.

The Room

If you’re traveling with a family, or you’re like us, two buddies who take a lot of trips together but want their own bed, this is a great paid upgrade. The suite is large, with french doors that open to the streets below. High ceilings, tons of light, and the neutral color scheme is my style.

The suite came with a chauffeured BMW to the airport. Not too shabby

I would stay here again in a heart beat. If you’re sitting on 35k or 50k award nights, or just Marriott points in genearl, this was a great value, and the hotel is spectacular.
