The Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ have a new hotel credit and have improved The Edit℠ credits. Both of these cards have $750 hotel credits now, and both come with $300 in general travel credit. It’s now broken down as such.

  • $500 annual The Edit℠ credit
    • Chase Travel℠ collection of over 1,100 hand-picked hotels and resorts
    • Receive a statement credit of up to $250 for each prepaid booking with The Edit—our handpicked collection of hotels and resorts, up to $500 annually. You receive two credits for calendar year.
    • Two-night minimum
    • Purchases that qualify will not earn points
  • $250 annual credit at Chase Travel℠
    • Get up to $250 in statement credits on stays at select hotels booked through Chase Travel℠.
    • No activation required. Just use your card to book stays at select hotels through Chase Travel.
    • When booking your hotel via Chase Travel, select the pre-paid, “Pay Now” option using your Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
    • Get up to $250 in statement credits from January 1 through December 31, 2026.
    • Minimum 2-night stay required.
    • Select eligible hotels are IHG Hotels & Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
    • Purchases that qualify for the $250 credit will not earn points.

Up to $500 The Edit credit is now annual, not $250 semi annual

The Edit credit will no longer be $250 every 6 months, and instead, will be $500 for the year. It still will be in $250 chunks, and requires a 2 night minimum to trigger, but could be used on separate stays in the same month. Note that you can’t do back to back Edit stays ( Thurs/Fri night and then Sat/Sun for instance ) and trigger both $250 credits and it must be pre-paid. This makes it a lot better and easier to use imo.

I used The Edit on a stay in Turks and Caicos and the reimbursement was quick.

New up to $250 credit for Select Chase Hotels

Chase is adding in another hotel credit on specific hotel chains. IHG is the big one here for me since I stay in Intercons and Kimptons quite often.

  • IHG Hotels & Resorts,
  • Montage Hotels & Resorts,
  • Pendry Hotels & Resorts,
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts,
  • Virgin Hotels,
  • Minor Hotels
  • Pan Pacific Hotels and Resort

Can you stack these two credits?

I inquired with Chase about this and it was confirmed that yes, indeed, you can. For instance, let’s say I wanted to stay at the Intercontinental Barclay over Valentine’s Day and book via The Edit. Since this is a Chase Travel booking, and I’d be booking prepaid, and let’s say I book it after January 1st of next year, I should trigger both The Edit credit and the new $250 Chase Travel credit since it’s an IHG hotel.

That means I’d get $500 of credits back on a $746 stay and have all of The Edit benefits while I’m on property. If I hadn’t used up my $300 Travel credit that both Sapphire Reserve and Reserve Business come with, I’d tap into that as well.

Pretty awesome I’d say.

This makes that $795 fee a lot easier to stomach for those who travel a lot. I can now book via Chase Travel, earn points on my stay, and get enough credits to offset the fee of the card without a lot of effort. It won’t be the case for everyone, but it certainly will be for me and my family.

Does “prepaid” mean “nonrefundable” when making an Edit Rez?

  • Jim F. December 15, 2025

Please clarify…. Are “IHG Hotels & Resorts” a specific sub-set of IHG properties, similar to the sub-set list of Hilton properties (“resorts”) that qualify for the Aspire credit? Or is any IHG property eligible for the new $250 credit?

    • Zachary Abel December 15, 2025

It’s the blanket term for all IHG properties. We’ll know a bit more when it’s active in January as to whether it’s only triggered on certain brands or all brands.
