5 of the best Bali healers
There are many reasons people visit Bali, but seeking spiritual rejuvenation is high on the list of many, myself included. I just finished my second trip to Bali, and thought it would be helpful to those looking to visit healers to put together a short list of the best Bali healers I have visited, or those close to me have visited on the same trip.
Healers are mainly concentrated in Ubud, located in the middle of the country, south of the volcanoes and north of busier/touristed areas like Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Kuta, and Uluwatu. While you can certainly make a daytrip to Ubud if you’re staying in other areas, I’d point out that traffic and poor infrastructure within Bali make short distances quite long commutes. Just traveling the 15miles from Denpasar to Ubud can take well over an hour. Additionally, most drivers in Bali can be hired for a full day.

Made Lunas ( Ubud )
We visited Made Lunas on our last trip to Bali and I was incredibly impressed with his assessment of my mind, body, and spirit. He’s an intuitive healer and conduit. He operates out of Ubud, you can make appointments in advance, and the energy surrounding his facility is tranquil and calming. He’ll read chakras, intuit, and balance energy. Made Lunas identified physical ailments I had been suffering from without examining my body, was able to identify them, and offer some guidance to helping alleviate them. Impressive to say the least.

Jimmy Doyle ( Kuta/Denpasar )
Jimmy is a foreign born healer, originating in Australia, who now lives in Denpasar/Kuta. Our last visit to Bali, two of our friends visited Jimmy, one of which is a healer herself, and raved about Jimmy and his talent. He worked with chakra boosting, energy flow, and gave both of them mantras to say each day. If you’re staying in the Nusa Dua, Jimbaran Bay, even Uluwatu area, he would be a short drive relative to Ubud. Even Seminyak

Cokorda Rai ( Ubud )
Cokorda Rai is arguably the most famous of all healers in Bali after being featured in Eat. Pray. Love. On this last visit to Bali our group visited his facility in Ubud. We came without asking any questions, and if I were to visit again, I’d most certainly come with a specific question in mind. Our sessions lasted 3-5 minutes a piece, and mostly focused on rebalancing energy. Sessions are quick and short, and most any taxi driver in Ubud will know exactly where his facility is. While I enjoyed the experience with Cokorda, I would visit other healers who dedicate more time with you on my next visit. Specifically, Ibu Ketut Mursi and Made Lunas.

Ibu Ketut Mursi ( Ubud )
Ibu Ketut Mursi is a blind healer located in Ubud that my mom visited on our last trip to Bali. She’s known as the blind healer, and even though she doesn’t have sight, she is endowed with incredible vision. She works with an assistant that will guide you through her process. She operates out of Mandapa and is a reflexology/intuitive healer. My mom left very impressed. Ibu Ketut Mursi examines the body, energy flow, and addresses any issues. My mom spent roughly an hour with her and left feeling as though her knee/foot pain from a car accident long, long ago to be quite reduced.

Pak Dewar Made ( Ubud )
Both my dad and I worked with Pak Dewar Made on my last visit to Ubud while staying at Mandapa. He worked predominantly with my feet, examining chakras, energy flow, and assessing imbalances. This was only a couple years after my back surgery, I was still suffering from issues, and his session with him undoubtedly helped my back, but the real magic was with my dad. He’s had bouts of gout before, and was starting to have an attack before he visited Pak Dewar Made. The session involves some pretty intense stick work that is quite painful during the foot examination. Gout shows itself through intense toe inflammation and pain which was dad was experiencing. Pak Dewar Made started on the unaffected foot, and by the time he reached the inflamed toes, all pain was gone.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

One thing that is a bummer is Chase lowered the transfer ratio to World of Hyatt from 1:1 to 4:3.
