50k Amex Delta Gold + 70k Amex Delta Platinum

HOLY FLIPPING SCHMOLY! This is the largest public offer I’ve ever seen: 70k Amex Delta Platinum! This is 10k more than the offers that were put out earlier in the year at 50k and 60k respectively. This matches the top public offer in the last few years. I’ve seen larger targeted offers, but 50k for Amex Delta gold is very solid. Let’s take a look at the new INCREDIBLE public offers: 50k Amex Delta Gold + 70k Amex Delta Platinum.

How can we find these offers?

These are public offers. I was searching some award inventory when I saw the increased 50k Amex Delta Gold offer. I clicked the link and it took me to the next screen.

That’s when I saw these new offers: 50k Amex Delta Gold + 70k Amex Delta Platinum

Respectively these cards require $2000 and $3000. The great deal with the Amex Delta Platinum is you also earn 10k MQM. What a great and easy way to get a boost in your MQM if you’re a little short on the year. The Delta Reserve Card is offering 10k MQM and 10k Redeemable Delta miles after JUST THE FIRST PURCHASE

The offers are there for business cards too!

The min spend is 2k more for the Amex Delta Platinum Business than the personal, but still a great deal.

Will I sign up for these offers?

I’ve already had both the Amex Delta Gold personal and business. So…

2 things I’ll consider

  1. Amex is supposedly announcing something big in the beginning of October. Sooo I’ll at least wait til after that
  2. I’ve also taken a 50k upgrade offer from Amex business gold to platinum that requires 10k spend in 5 months. I’ll have to seriously weigh doing another sign up, and if I did, I would go for the Amex Delta Platinum Business.

Will these count against 5/24

As far as we know, Amex Business cards do not count against 5/24 and don’t show up on your personal credit profile.

Delta devalued their award chart

  • From the US-EUROPE in business class is now 70k ( well october 1st) I used 62.5 to fly Virgin Atlantic last year. Like the title image of this post
  • From US – ASIA in business is now 80k

It’s probably no surprise that Amex has increased their sign up offers. They’ve been getting killed by Chase and Citi lately.

What would I use these for?

It costs 80k to fly from the US to Asia and I’m planning a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia over NYE. So I’d put them to good use on China Airlines. Their product looks amazing and if I couldn’t land China…I’d give China Eastern a go.

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.
