Most Amex Referrals include 4x at home furnishing stores
Amex referrals are a wonderful way to earn a ton more points by referring new cardmembers to the wonderful world of American Express. In fact, my Amex Gold is currently offering 30k points for each approved referral – that’s insane! All Amex referrals are capped at 55k per year, or $550 if you’re earning cashback on referrals instead of points, so it wouldn’t even take 2 referrals to max out if you have a similar offer to me. Amex has introduced another reason to refer: 4x on select home furnishing purchases for those who get referred. Let’s take a look:

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
