British Airways is running a fantastic promo ( although watch out for those fees ) that offers Avios redemptions at 50% off for longhaul and 25% off shorthaul. You need to book by October 13th, but you have until June 20th, 2021 to complete your travel which is awesome. The biggest thing to remember, and I’ve already mentioned it, is the ridiculous taxes and fees that are tagged on to Avios bookings. We’re talking on average $500-700 per ticket, per way, and these aren’t reduced or waived.
*You can also use a companion certificate* That means roundtrip LAX to LHR for 85k Avios total for two people ( assuming you find avail). That could make the taxes and fees worth it

- Book directly with British Airways (BA) between 06 October 2020 and 13 October 2020 for travel between 06 October 2020 and 30 June 2021. Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
