We have a limited time 30% transfer bonus to JAL, normally 4:3, which makes the ratio 1000:975 or nearly 1:1. That is particularly appealing on JAL flights in business class from the US to Asia. .

Currently, Cap1 is one of two programs that facilitate transfers into Japan Airlines. The other being Bilt Rewards. The program recently updated their program on June 10th, and despite some devaluations, it’s very strong for the right routes. The only thing that kinda stinks is Cap1 isn’t 1:1 – Bilt is, and you need to understand that JAL has various charts depending on the redemption ( JAL flights, One World partners, Other partners ).  It sounds tricky but it’s really pretty straight forward once you know where to look.

Japan Airlines is a One World partner and its miles can be used for redemptions on member airlines.

That places flights from JFK to LHR at just 48k miles, and JAL doesn’t pass on as many fees as say British Airways. These charts also have mileage distances that scream around the world trip opportunities.
