Etihad just debuted their A350-1000 business class at the Dubai Airshow 2021 and they’re stunning. Let’s take a look at the evolution of Etihad business class and you can peep the latest A350 with B/E Aerospace Super Diamond, reverse herringbone business class. Hattip to TravelingforMiles

I’ve flown several iterations of Etihad’s business class from the A330 which they refer to as Pearl Business Class. This is similar to what you’d find on Iberia featuring honeymoon style seats in the odd rows and an all aisle access. This is my least favorite version of Etihad business class – you can read the review of it here…from 2015

I’ve also flown their Business Studio multiple times. This is a sexy, sleek, improvement over the Pearl shown above. The configuration isn’t much different than the seats up above and I’d highly recommend it on the A380…which is currently grounded. You can also find it on their dreamliners.

And here’s the new business class cabin on the A350-1000

It’s an Etihad version of the British Airways Club Suites which features the same seats.

It’s one of my favorite business class. I prefer head out, feet in, configurations or what Is called reverse herringbone. Personally, I find it to be the most private and these particular seats offer an incredible amount of storage. You’ll find them on American and China Air as well:

What do you think of Etihad’s new A350 biz?

This seat design and aesthetics is the better of this seat design . All business class cabins have been fitted with the same style and design of the ” suite ” seat. There are only two choice of designs : the door closes ( slides ) completely , giving a complete sense of privacy . When the seat is in the 180 deg lie flat bed mode , you are cocooned , solitude in your own suite. The door and sides shoul be another 30 -50 cm higher. Other passengers , crew are able to see over the closed door into The not so exclusive suite.
The 2nd option has exactly the same suite/seat as the 1st option and as ALL the business seats. Except the door does not close fully , it only closes half , so whether you are sitting in the up right position for take off , meal service and landing ,you can see the passenger across the asile. The same goes for when the seatv is in the lie flat mode. WHAT is the reason of having half a privacy screen?
The Business cabins all look the same now . Like an open office layout.

It looks really nice. Is there a way to tell offhand whether a 787 has these seats when checking availability?

my understanding is only the new a350-1000 has them currently
