I live in Atlanta and I CAN NOT WAIT to visit this lounge. I got an email from Amex two days ago saying that this bad boy was opening today, and sadly, I missed being in the airport for the debut by just a couple days. My personal pics will have to wait, but this new Amex Centurion Lounge at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport looks stunning. Hopefully all the new restrictions with access will mean it isn’t shoulder to shoulder, but I’m not holding my breath. Let’s take a look

Keeping in theme with Amex, the food in the lounge will be locally inspired. I’ve found over the years that the food options get smaller and smaller over time, and are often just completely empty or heavily picked over. It’ll be interesting to see how well Amex is able to

Chef Deborah VanTrece, owner of local Atlanta restaurants Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours, Oreatha’s At The Point and La Panarda, all of which can be booked on Resy, will bring her take on modern, global soul food to the lounge. Using flavors and techniques she discovered traveling the world as a former flight attendant and enhanced by her own family food traditions and fresh, local ingredients, the custom menu includes Black Eyed Pea Biryani, Za’atar Grilled Chicken Thighs with Green Tomato Chimichurri, and Twisted Soul Salad with Strawberry Peppercorn Vinaigrette. Additionally, there will be a dedicated food and beverage station with gluten free and vegan options, including protein bites, salads, smoothies, and immunity booster juice shots.

Overall

As someone who flies out of this airport a ton…this will definitely be a spot I’ll try my best to get into! Lol.

    American Express Platinum: https://americanexpress.com/en-us/referral/KENNYBgDlW?XLINK=MYCP

The Platinum is currently offering an 80,000 sign up bonus after $8,000 spend in 6 months.

The numerous perks on the Platinum card make it worth it for me as I use so many of them whether at home or traveling. I like to accumulate additional Amex points by using shopping portals like Rakuten.
