In case you missed it, Southwest dropped a great piece of news this past week when they announced that their flight credits no longer expire. As you can see below, as long as you have credits that haven’t expired by July 28, 2022, or you’re issued new credits after that date, they will no longer ever expire. This comes on the heals of Southwest dropping a new booking class called Wanna Get Away Plus which allows you to transfer credits between different Rapid Rewards members.
I’ve flown Southwest more times in the past year than I have in the prior 10. Why? I moved to Atlanta and they actually have some great routes that undercut Delta’s pricing and the best part is their pet fee is just $50.
Here’s some info on the Southwest Wanna Get Away Plus Fare:
@zacharyburrabel #ad My favorite “Southwest Airlines” Wanna Get Away Plus fare perk is the transferrable flight credit. So handy if you’re like me and change plans a lot #southwestheart #wannagetawayplus ♬ original sound – zacharyburrabel
