Booking premium cabin flights is all about timing. Some airlines have patterns than can be fairly reliable to predict, others are known to never release space. Iberia…not really one to fall into either category has dumped award inventory on at least a couple of their routes. A lot of it. In all honesty, given the timing, I’m shocked. I thought they’d dry up space until post December 1st, seeing as though that’s the expiration date of their summer promo whereby many people booked one flights for $30-40 to earn 90k points. We did, and we just booked a roundtrip for 68k Avios. BYAH!
Typically, AA shows Iberia award space ( pictured here ); however, I have found that AA sometimes misses space, and I was able to find some dates where AA showed no avail, but Iberia actually had seats bookable in business.
