How does this card help me reach my travel goals?
It guarantees a great 1.5x base rate on your standard purchases allllll without an annual fee. Let’s say you already have a Chase Freedom or Freedom Flex which earns 5x points on rotating categories throughout the year, and an Ink Business Preferred which gives you access to transfer partners. Overall
The Chase Freedom Unlimited is a no-brainer credit card that fits into everyone’s wallet. It not only comes with some great category bonuses, but it also guarantees that you’ll never earn less than 1.5x on every purchase you make.
Of course I got my CFU in November and now this offer is available…
Does the $20K mean total for the card or per category? I suspect the former but better to verify.
Hey Christian – $20k total – so potential for 30k bonus points
Happy to say I just got approved for my CFU. I can’t wait to put it to work. Just wondering how long I should wait for applying for CSP.
Can I downgrade my chase sapphire preferred and get the 3x spend it is it only to new applicants? My husband also has sapphire preferred card so 2 is overkill for us
Tammie – You can downgrade but it would only earn the 1.5x, not the 3x for this offer. However, one thing to consider would be downgrading into a normal Freedom, getting a Freedom Unlimited, and effectively you and your spouse would have a Chase Trifecta.
Exactly a year ago, Chase had an offer for the Chase Freedom Unlimited of 3x points for the first year with no cap. The offer was only out for a very short time before they pulled it. I was able to get the card and maximized the offer by putting all personal and business spend on it for the entire year. It’s been the most lucrative offer I have ever seen. I don’t think many people were able to take advantage of this offer before it was pulled.
Eric – It was an outstanding offer and ended very quickly, lol! Happy to hear you were able to get in on it and take advantage of the offer
