Five years ago I added the Amex Blue Business to my wallet when it was offering an outstanding 10x points on dining. I’ve kept it, although never used it, primarily for the referrals, and the fact that it had no annual fee it wasn’t costing me anything. This year…I finally decided I’d product change it to an Amex Blue Business Plus so that the referrals I’d earn would be 55k points vs $550 – I extract far more than a penny a point, so the points are worth far more than the cash.
