Singapore Airlines is running a promo sale until March 14th that features a lot of really attractive Premium Economy rates. I’m highlighting the direct flight between LA and Singapore which clocks in at roughly $1050 on many dates, however, these are Premium Economy Lite fares so don’t book them thinking you can be upgraded into business class for 27k each way.
Here’s the deal.
As you can see…there are a lot of deals to various locations across Southeast Asia. Not just from LA
I’ve personally reviewed hotels in
- Saigon:
- Hanoi
- Singapore
- Intercontinental Singapore
- I’ve also stayed at Grand Hyatt Singapore and the Fullerton ( would recommend both )
- Bangkok
- Peninsula Bangkok
- Waldorf Astoria Bangkok
- Tokyo.
- Bali
More details.
You need to book by March 14th to get these uber cheap deals, and travel between April 1st and November 30th. However, if you have your eye on an upgrade and don’t mind spending a bit more…check out the second line of deals starting at $1401. Those are Premium Economy
Here’s an example of Premium Economy Lite pricing in at $1099
However, when you drop the menu you down you see that these aren’t upgradeable. But the middle column is…Premium Economy Standard.
Have your eye on an upgrade to business class for 27k each way? Spend the extra $330 and search for dates with business class space available.
Singapore Airlines prices upgrades based on the difference in award cost between the cabin you’re flying, and the one you’re upgraded into. On the flight from LAX to SIN a premium economy flight would typically cost 68k points, and a business class ticket would cost 95k.
If you’re flexible on your days…I would recommend looking to see if space is available in business class ahead of booking. This way you could book and confirm your upgrade consecutively. If you see this…you can upgrade into business with points.
How can you get Singapore Airlines points?
This is the best part. Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles are some of the easiest to accrue because they’re transfer partners with all the major transferrable currencies.
- Chase ( 1:1 )
- American Express ( 1:1 )
- Citi ( 1:1 )
- Capital One (2: 1.5 )
- Marriott ( 3:1 )
