If you were to maximize this, you’re effectively getting an extra 2k points per night across 45 nights. That’s a very good deal, and if you value Hyatt points in the 1.5 to 1.7 cents per point area, you’re getting $30 to $54 back per night. That would be worth pivoting stays to Hyatt if you’re targeted.
If you’re looking to mattress run status, you can book category 1 Hyatt hotels for as low as 3500 points, which means you’d be paying 45 nights at 3500 per night = 157,500, but you’d receive 90k back, or 67,500 total for 45 elite nights. Add in a Hyatt credit card ( which receives 5 elite nights per year ) and you’re at 50 nights, just 10 nights shy of Globalist status.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
