We are now seeing Amex Offers repopulate for the final quarter of the year, and the hotel incentives are continuing to roll in. This isn’t surprising at all considering nearly 25% of all hotel loans are more than 30 days past due, the highest on record. We are nowhere near the end of this storm, and I anticipate that we will continue to see more and more incentives to those who are flying and staying in hotels.
This current round of Amex Offers hitting a wide range of Hilton properties. These are for US properties and Territories and each offer is exclusive to that line of properties, but there is a lot of money on the table, and if you’re looking to travel between now and NYE…this may swing your decision.
I spend more than $1200+ a year on annual fees across 6 Amex cars and lemme tell you, every little bit helps. In fact, I’d say that utilizing Amex Offers and the credits each individual card carries puts me net positive each year.
Here are the 6 American Express Cards that I keep and links to their current offers and why we have them in our wallet and recommend your consideration.
- American Express Platinum
- American Express Gold
- American Express Green
- American Express Business Platinum
- American Express Blue Business
- American Express Blue Business Plus
Spend $250 get $60 back at Hilton, Curio, and Canopy
I’ve had the pleasure of staying at few Curio hotels and I must say…they are fantastic. The latest Curio Collection I enjoyed was the Konsulat hotel in Reykjavik, and I’d highly recommend it.
- Valid at participating Hilton, Curio, and Canopy hotels
- 9/21/2020 to 12/31/2020
- Must book directly with Hilton
- US cardholders only
Spend $500 get $125 back at Waldorf and Conrad
I’m a big fan of Waldorf properties and had the pleasure of staying at a phenomenal Waldorf in Dubai last November. Couldn’t recommend the property more, especially the breakfast with a view.
- Valid at participating Waldorf and Conrad hotels
- 9/21/2020 to 12/31/2020
- Must book directly with Hilton
- US cardholders only
Spend $250 get $60 at Homewood Suites, Home2, and Embassy Suites
I was uber impressed with a Homewood Suites property I recently stayed at in Moab back in July. This was the first property I had stayed at in months and was impressed with the cleanliness and observance of masks.
- Valid at participating Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, and Home2
- 9/21/2020 to 12/31/2020
- Must book directly with Hilton
- US cardholders only
Spend $175, get $50 at Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn
If you’re heading off on a road trip this holiday season, you’ll find a slew of these properties to choose from. I spend many a night at Hampton Inns when I was younger.
- Valid at participating Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn
- 9/21/2020 to 12/31/2020
- Must book directly with Hilton
- US cardholders only
Spend $225, get $60 back at DoubleTree and Tapestry
Tapestry, like Curio, is a more up market brand within Hilton that focuses on unique properties that don’t feel like big box, convention hotels. I love that kind of feel, and this new kind of Hilton may provide some great alternative options for you if you hit the road.
Overall
Because there are so many targeted offers, I didn’t get into brass tax on each one, so make sure you understand the nuances and terms and conditions. I laid out the broadstrokes, but make sure you know what you need to spend, where to book etc. If you’re doing it via Hilton.com – I think you’re covered. Lemme know if you’re able to capitalize!
Sadly, these offers are NOT showing on my Hilton ANEX cards (just my Green and Gold), which would make them absolutely amazeballs.
That being said, 3x AMEX points on a Green card + 20-30% off as rebate isn’t terrible.
Same. The only one that shows on Hilton cards is the WA/Conrad one. But 3x MR on the Green + $50 off made it worth switching an upcoming 2-night stay from the Aspire to Green.
