Amex Offers Hyatt
We’ve seen an absolute onslaught of Amex Offers to start the new year. Amex Plat is enriched with PayPal credits as well as targeted spend offers like spend $50 at Best Buy and get $50. Amex Business Plat received a ton of 5x Amex Offers on great categories as well through June. It’s clear to me that Amex is utilizing Amex Offers to engage their clientele with amazing deals. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan of Amex Offers, write about them frequently, and this one can make getting Hyatt status a little bit easier. From 1/15/21 to 3/15/21 you can earn $60 back on $300 spend. This seems to be a response to the Chase Offer of 10% back on up to $250 spend. Regardless of the intent, this Amex credit could equate to a free night at some Hyatts across the country.

Running for top tier Globalist Status – read this article on how we did it in 10 nights
Hyatt is offering double elite nights through 2/28/21 – meaning if you completed the $300 spend by then, you’d earn double elite nights on your stay. I just stayed in a Hyatt Place for $65 a night…The Amex Offer mentioned above would have nearly given me a free night on that stay just for paying with my Amex Green. I’m anticipating I’ll have to make another stay before the end of this promo period, and even though I’m already a Hyatt Globalist until 2023, this will offset cost while getting me closer to Milestane Awards like free nights and suite upgrades.
Don’t forget that Hyatt slashed their qualifications for elite status by 50% this year. You only need 30 nights to qualify vs the 60 for their illustrious Globalist status.
Well, blast. None of my cards were targeted, and I’m in the middle of mattress running Hyatt for Globalist.
Sigh, maybe later this week….
